Well, an easy update is that he is GREAT and has been healthy! He has just amazed us and we are so thankful that he has pretty much gone through the last 3/4 of last year with only the occasional cough and ONE ear infection. I have to admit I was a bit nervous when he was diagnosed with an ear infection over Thanksgiving that we would be facing another one soon, but thankfully that has not happened.
I guess the best thing to do is to do a quick recap/picture from each month that I have missed; which means we start back in July of 2016! I can't remember if I posted about this or not, but it's too cute not to share. I officially bought Nolan his own big boy undies, and he loved them.
Of course we had to start with Super Herio's and Spiderman :)
That tan like cracks me up!
I know I have blogged about his potty training experience, and this was mostly the beginning. He had lots of accidents, of course, but this really catapulted him into the actual "training" stage.
He is also obsessed with his cape, and pretty much wears it everywhere :) Our daily walks during September clearly show his commitment :)
Plotting his strategy...
He is still pretty much not afraid of anything. He has his shy moments every now and then, but I think that is mostly for attention and not from being afraid. He continues to jump off of anything, flip anywhere, and scare me and his teachers to death :) His fast pace usually results in lots of bumps and bruises, but he will literally cry for maybe a minute or two (depending on how bad it is) and then can easily be distracted by something else.
I still get nervous when he climbs up the ladder, but he just zooms right up.
The BIGGEST grasshopper I have ever seen. As you can tell, I was IN the house, and he was outside - ha.
That pretty much sums up the months that I missed. October (his birthday) through Christmas will be heavily documented, so I hope I didn't miss too much! :) It amazes me how fast he changes, and what he learns. He is a constant blessing and the love of my life. Each day brings lots of feelings of thankfulness, patience, and the occasional exhaustion, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
