It seems like I go to the doctor ALL the time now, long before I am even supposed to be going once a week! Over the 4th of July weekend, I noticed that I just couldn't get my energy up even after resting or a nap. All I wanted to do was go from the bed to the couch, and back!
I wasn't sure what was going on, and wondered if it just had something to do with being six-and-a-half months pregnant, so I kept chugging along.
On Monday morning, I noticed I felt SUPER worn out, and was very out of breath to just do normal things. I even felt a little faint at one point, and had to sit down. I knew this wasn't normal for sure, so I called and made a last-minute appointment with my doctor.
It appears that I have another lovely UTI, which will make my second one in a month. I still do not have any real symptoms of one, but for precaution they put me on an antibiotic. The kicker is that since complications from an untreated (and symptom-less UTI) can be very dangerous, I have to take medicine for the rest of the pregnancy! Yep, until I deliver I will have to take one pill a day to make sure that I have no chances of developing another one.
Thankfully, this is not that big of a deal. But, I have not taken any medicine this entire pregnancy (besides the last round of antibiotics), and usually prefer to avoid medicine in general. I know this is safe for me and Puddin', so it is what I will do, but 14 weeks of medicine is a long time in my book!
But on the positive side, if this is the worst complication I have to deal with (Lord willing), I will take it.
