We are so excited to finally be in our new home, even though you can barely walk in it :) Our closing went smoothly, and we were able to get into the house that day and start cleaning, lining shelves, etc. We took Nolan to daycare and then went to breakfast because our closing was at 10:00, and then it was all done!
Our yard is close to 0.7 acres, and it's a lot to take care of! We have yet to buy our riding lawnmower, but our sweet neighbor mowed our front lawn for us the day we moved in, so that bought us a little bit more time! The backyard is completely fenced in and that is wonderful. Vegas has enjoyed strolling around out there and exploring, even though I still won't let her go too far or stay out there by herself (hey, there are some huge birds out here and she looks like a rabbit, so no thanks!)
I can't explain how happy I am to have a garage, even if it is serving as storage right now! My dad cleared out a parking spot for me before he left, so after the POD was removed I had a garage space! I am waiting for that first raining morning where I can leisurely load the car without worrying about getting soaked.
The house has four bedrooms (Nolan's room is the "bonus room" over the garage). There is a third- story unfinished second bonus room that we plan to complete one day, so that will be awesome. It's already wired for lighting/electricity, so all it really needs is some walls and carpet. For now, it serves as one gigantic attic space, which may be hard to lose one day!
The view from our front porch; this is directly across the street on one fairway...
