Awesome Day at the Natural History Museum

Our next door neighbors hosted Kaleb's birthday party at the Museum of Natural History today, and it was AWESOME!  That place is really cool (and free) to begin with, but the party was the best!

To start off with, they had a ton of exhibits up today for a special event, so we strolled through those before making our way to the birthday party room.  Nolan got to pet lots of snakes and other curious things before we found our way to Kaleb's room.

The party itself was super interactive, and I couldn't believe they had critters of all shapes and sizes for the kids to look at, pet, and learn about.  It was really great how they kept the kids entertained and moved them from one activity to the next.  They had a beetle, the biggest bullfrog I have ever seen, and dove and a rabbit!  I may have been more excited than some of the kids - ha!

Of course Daddy was the center of all the action :)

I mean, this thing was HUGE! I kind of secretly kept hoping it would escape, but it never did.

The poor rabbit was probably terrified, but the kids enjoyed touching it.  After the animal part, they moved around the room creating a couple more crafts and doing some more interactive games.  They finished the party with ice cream, treats and a whole table full of kids.  It was so much fun - Anthony has already asked me if we can have Nolan's party here next year - ha :)
