End of Year + New Class Orientation

Nolan's "end of year" and "new school year" pretty much happened on the same day this year.  The private kindergarten in his daycare follows the standard calendar school year, so they use that opportunity to "move up" all of the kids to their next class.  He switched a bit when he first started, but has been with the same teachers for the past year, and will continue to do this until he leaves.

We loved his teachers this past year, and of course I forgot to take pictures of what I made them, but I did find this super sweet poem that I printed for them.  I think they appreciated it, and even though he is in the next class over, we will still miss them!

On Friday we also had orientation, so we rushed home and got ready and turned back around to head to school to "meet" his new teachers.  I say "meet" because we already knew who they were and Nolan had been in their classroom bunches of times before, so I was sure it was going to be a good transition for him.  He will be in the "Almost 3" class, and most of his friends in there are from his old class and are just finishing up potty training like he is.

He looked SO adorable...and too grown up for me!

Big man on campus...

We only spent a few minutes showing him around his new class and asking Ms. Ashley and Ms. Courtney some extra questions.  He was too busy playing with his friend Oliver to probably even notice he was in another class, which I took as a good sign :)  Most of his days will be similar to what he did in his old class, except for the times are slightly different and he will now go to the CAFE' to eat breakfast and lunch!  I can't believe it - they form a little line and it's just so cute.

He is officially a "HOPPER," so hello new school year - may you treat my son well and give him plenty to learn and lots of fun!
