First Team Sport: Soccer!

I absolutely love that Nolan's daycare has outside classes that come to his school.  Since I work full time, there are tons of opportunities we miss to get him into extracurricular activities (hello, classes at 11:00 on Tuesdays...), so I was super excited to get him signed up for soccer!

They were the first activity to come to Nolan's school (aside from his music class), so I thought he would love it.  They started with an 8-week summer session, so I figured it would be a good way to see if he liked it.  And he loved it!  His coach, Coach Tyler is awesome, and the foundational aspects of the game (sportsmanship, respect, etc.) are really great too.

They only had one team photo, which cracked me up - of course he would be squatting with a silly grin on his face...he's on the far left, if you can't tell :)

He loved it so much that I was told a thousand times to get him signed up for the fall season.  We will see what he learns over the next few months, but I think he could be really good at it.  He's so fast and coordinated, that it may just be the sport for him.  And I like it because it's basically non-contact - ha!
