Mama and Papa Come for a Visit!

On a bit of a last minute trip, Anthony's parents came to visit us and we were so happy to see them!  They were making their way back from South Carolina and decided to hang with us for a few days before heading home.  Turns out, it had been exactly one year since their last visit!

They arrived late afternoon Sunday and Nolan instantly warmed up to them.  We spent the rest of the day just catching up and sweating to death outside ;)

I fully understand where Anthony gets his energy - his parents are just like him and I laughed when I peeked outside and saw Papa tearing through the yard pushing Nolan in his car.  Anthony does the exact same thing and I swear the wheels are going to fly off of that car one day!

Nolan was thrilled when we told him he would be able to stay home from school Monday and Tuesday to stay with them.  They had tons of fun and went to the park, out to eat, on long walks and did lots of cooking.  Mama cooked up a huge Spanish meal for us on Monday, and oh my goodness, it was SO good!  We were able to freeze some of her empanadas, and I am so sad to report that we have already eaten them all.  I don't think I can wait another year for them to come back!
