Home Depot and Hockey

We had a blast this weekend, but it was a bit different than we had planned since our T-ball game was cancelled this morning.  Instead of T-ball, we went to Home Depot to take advantage of the mulch sale, and just so happened to go on the morning of their free kids workshop.

They were making bird houses and we jumped in a made a quick little project to take up some time during the morning.  Nolan was very proud of his apron and pin...we will have to catch more of these once the T-ball season is over!

He also insisted on wearing his Power Rangers costume, which was fine with me since it was literally freezing outside...

Once we loaded up the truck with flowers and mulch, we headed home to rest up for the weekend's main event - HOCKEY!  I won lower level tickets from my firm for the final game of the season, so we invited our friends and loaded up in the van for some fun.

I didn't realize just HOW GOOD our seats were going to be...I was so impressed!  We were two rows up from the ice, right behind the team benches.  We could walk down right to the ice before the game, and that was really cool.  I don't know if I have ever been that close before...

The guys were HUGE...and hairy...

Looks like I am on the bench!

The boys did a pretty good job of being entertained...mostly when they were eating - ha!  It was a great game and I am pretty sure the Hurricanes won.  We really had a great time and I hope we can go back to more games next year.
