Three Year Checkup

We got Nolan in for his annual physical this year a bit late, but it didn't really matter since he didn't require any vaccines (other than his flu shot).  It was pretty straightforward, and it was so nice to be able to tell the doctor we had gone several months without any major sicknesses or antibiotics!!  She was so glad to hear it and could easily tell he was on the right track for his development.

He did his first eye test, and the glasses gave both of us a chuckle.  At one point, the nurse asked him to identify a shape and he said it was an "octagon."  It wasn't that shape, but it was impressive nonetheless :)

The only concern the doctor had was with his size, and that's pretty much a constant.  No one is surprised at his stature once we give them our family history, but she decided that she wants him to come back in February for another growth check and see where he stands.  He notched up just a small fraction on his growth chart, and we may end up sending him to an endocrinologist for some testing if he hasn't shown much growth by then.  I am honestly expecting this, and I also expect that nothing at all is wrong, but it would be best to make sure, I suppose.

Overall, he is happy, finally healthy, and just perfect to us in every way!
