Bumpdate: 36 Weeks

It has been a pretty good week!  Aside from having a great doctor's appointment last week, I had Anthony home ALL weekend and to myself!  That rarely ever happens, so it was such a wonderful gift.  I got up Saturday and got my nails and toes done in preparation for our maternity shoot that evening, while he was able to sleep in for a change and relax.  I can't remember the last weekend he didn't work at least one day, so he deserved it!

Once I was done with my primping, I headed over to Babies R Us to get our car seat installed.  I guess it sounds silly to have someone else do it, but I have no idea what I am doing and would rather have a professional do it.  It's so surreal/awesome/sweet to look back there now and see a car seat!  I love it.  I am just itching to put up his mirror and sunscreens on the windows - haha.  I will probably do that this weekend after getting my car cleaned.

I could not have asked for a more beautiful day Saturday for our pictures.  We took them outside at Johns Creek Recreation Campus, and it had everything I was looking for: a large rustic field, a stream, and even a covered bridge.  If the pictures come out looking like what I have envisioned in my head, I will be very pleased!  Anthony caught a quick snapshot of me and our awesome photographer:

This was taken with his cell phone, and even here the lighting is gorgeous!  I can't wait to get our pictures back in about two weeks.

After that we enjoyed a wonderful dinner out - and sat on the patio for the first time in forever! We haven't been eating out a lot lately, simply because I usually don't feel like it and Anthony is working, and we certainly haven't been sitting outside in the heat, so this was a real treat.

Sunday we kicked butt at the house and got a ton accomplished.  Anthony worked like crazy: shampooing the carpet one last time in the nursery, taking out the huge piles of boxes we had from baby stuff, and tons more.  I did a little too, but had no energy after our big day Saturday, so my best accomplishment was the grocery store and cooking dinner :)

Overall, this has been a great week.  Of course I have some general uncomfortableness and tons of contractions, but getting closer and closer to the "Full Term" mark at 37 weeks next week makes it all bearable.  I am just praying for this little man to be healthy and strong, and if I can endure some minor aches and pains to get him there, I will do it!  I have to say that I will be glad when I can walk more than 20 feet without being out of breath :)

(I am getting terrible taking these on time!  This was 36w5d)

P (Pounds gained/lost) - No clue.  After not having gained anything the past two weeks, I would say it has to be something!

R (Really missing) - My family - can't wait for Puddin's arrival and having everyone in town!

E (Eating this) - Getting a slight bit more of my appetite back, so doing pretty good with a mix of healthy + splurges.

G (Gotta … ) - Still need to pack my hospital bag - eek!

N (Not gonna lie) - I am starting to get nervous at just "how big" my stomach may end up being at the end :)

A (About Puddin’) - Puddin' should weigh just over 6 pounds now, and be over 18.5 inches long.  His main job is to gain about 1 oz. a day from here on out - which should be about a half a pound a week for the next four weeks!  It says he is the size of a head of romaine lettuce, but that seems small for what I feel in the belly!  He is shedding most of his vernix and lanugo, which should make for an interesting first couple of diapers (for Daddy to change, of course!)

N (Never forget this) - Hopefully I will remember ALL of this.  All of the little things: the excitement of folding his little clothes, getting the car seat installed, seeing my stomach roll when he moves, dreaming about what he will look like and how it will be when we bring him home.  There are so many things that go through your mind during pregnancy - sometimes you are scared, and sometimes overcome with joy and anticipation.  It truly has already been a life changing time for me and Anthony, and I don't want to ever forget how momentous this occasion truly is.  Plus, I will need something to look back on when I am dog tired and haven't showered in three days ;)

C (Can’t wait for) -  Full term, baby!  Only 1 more week to go! And a visit from Dad, Leslee and Cade next weekend.  We will have the bedding done and in his room by then, so I can take pictures!

Y (Yet to come … ) - A couple more infant classes, and final touches to the nursery.
