Hallelujah, and thank the Lord! We made it to the 37-week mark, which means Puddin' is considered "full term!" He still has three weeks to go until his due date, but generally should be able to thrive if born now!
There is such a sense of peace that comes with hitting this milestone. Every part of pregnancy seems to be about reaching certain goals/dates - the 12-week mark and end of your first trimester, the 24-week mark and point of viability, etc. Each one seems like such a huge accomplishment and an answer to a prayer.
But this date is the big one. A chance to breathe a sigh of relief and say [more] prayers of thanks that we have "made it" this far and that we are both still healthy.
And surprisingly, I am not in any hurry for him to arrive. Not that I am not over the moon excited to meet him, but more so the fact that I want him to arrive when HE is ready, and not by some date on the calendar. Thankfully, I am still feeling pretty darn good, and have had more energy the past few days, so I think I can make it another three weeks!
The bags are packed, the house is mostly clean/organized, so we are ready when he is!
