Nolan: 51 Weeks

Nolan finally made it over the crazy stomach bug he had, and is back in business!  We had some pretty icky blow-outs over the weekend, but thankfully he never seemed to down about it (he had already had TWO baths by 11:00 on Saturday morning - ha).  We just made sure to keep a lot of liquids in him, since he went quite a while on Saturday without peeing - something that is very uncommon for him!  Anthony did a good job of getting some water in him, and that seemed to help.

We spent the weekend pretty close to the house, and on Sunday took turns cleaning my mom's house in order to surprise her for her birthday.  She has been out of town for almost the last entire month, and we missed her!  We figured it would be a nice surprise to have a clean house waiting on her when she returned from yet another trip.

Still no chances of him sitting still for pictures!

N = (Now weighs) I think he lost a little bit of weight this past week with the stomach bug, but have no idea of a real weight!

O = (Oomph!)  I have not heard of a single kid that actually likes Pedialyte!  You would think he would want to drink it because it's so sweet, but he hates it.  A co-worker of mine gave me a home recipe for it, and he drank a little bit more of that.

L = (Loves) Nolan has started the whole throwing things down and waiting for you to pick them up game :)  He usually will say "uh oh" after he does it, and smirks while you pick it up for him :)  He does this a LOT while eating his finger foods at dinner, although he hopes those don't make it back onto his plate (and they don't - Vegas eats them all!)

A = (About this week)  Nolan is starting to understand so many more things now, and it's great to be able to interact with him more.  He still doesn't say anything, but responds when we tell him something (most of the time - if he wants to listen). We are still working on "No," but I prefer to try and tell him other variations of that so he doesn't hear "No" all the time!  We are trying that whole redirection thing - let's see how that works!

N = (Not a fan of) Simple stuff - Pedialyte, having his nose cleaned, etc.

On another note, it's Mommy and Daddy's FIVE year wedding anniversary tomorrow, and I can't WAIT!
