Nolan: 1 Week!

Our first week with the little guy went by so fast, and I have to say I was pretty much deliriously happy the whole time.  I finally got to experience the feelings that most moms talk about, and everything they say about having a baby is true.  Yes, some of the hard parts are true too, but they don't matter anymore.

I was hoping to do some super cute weekly pictures, but let's be honest, time goes by so fast each day, I am just lucky to snap pictures for each week!

I thought to do an update summary like I did with my pregnancy, but this time I am going to doing out of his name.  I figured this would be a fun way to track what he is up to:

N = Now weighs (for his weight updates as I get them)
O = Oomph! (for those Mommy moments, surprises, etc.)
L = Loves (pretty self explanatory)
A= About this week (what he is up to, developmental accomplishments, etc.)
N = Not a fan of (some things he isn't so in to...)

So here is his first weekly update!

N = (Now weighs)  As I mentioned in his doctor's appointment update, he is starting to gain weight back, and now weighs about 6 lbs. 2 oz.  However, with the way he eats, I think he will gain weight super fast!

O = (Oomph!)  The sleep routine is hard to get used to - or lack thereof!  I think he has his days and his nights mixed up, with some gas mixed in. Poor baby!  He can blow a hole in his diaper like a champ - sounds like a machine gun - haha!

L = (Loves)  To eat, eat, eat.  And when he is fussy he likes to be bounced.

A = (About this week)  He is continuing to get adjusted to the world, and has begun his molting stage.  He is peeling all over, and poor thing gets picked at the whole time I am nursing him.  It gives me something to do!  He loves having his G in town, and she has developed quite the vocabulary wit him.

N = (Not a fan of) A dirty diaper (which is almost impossible to keep clean with his poops and pees), and having his hands swaddled.  We are doing the swaddle as best we can, but he grunts and struggles the whole time!  You will notice that most of his pictures have his hands up by his face, and that is so funny.  I was actually born with my hand right by my face, and he was the same the whole time in utero and now still loves his hands by his face now that he is born.  I still sleep that way too, and it's amazing how those things are passed down!  Case in point...
