Nolan: 3 Weeks!

Wow the weeks are flying by.  Sometimes the days seem long, but then I realize that I am already a quarter of the way through my maternity leave and I am so sad.  I know I will have to go back to work, but I am honestly really dreading it already.  I know the daycare we use will take very good care of him, but the thought of someone else loving on and holding my baby all day makes me super sad.  Some days I feel like I may go stir crazy, but I would take that over the alternative any day!

Nolan is growing like a weed and experienced his first "holiday" this week with Halloween!  We still don't have much of a schedule down pat, but last night he actually had a pretty good night of sleep, so we are thankful.  He still has an "episode" every night around 3 or 4 a.m., but he went to sleep pretty quickly after each feeding/diaper change last night.

N = (Now weighs)  Don't know the exact weight, but I noticed the other night while feeding him that he has gained weight for sure - I would guess he weighs about 8 pounds by now...

O = (Oomph!)  Thankfully he doesn't spit up a lot, but it's icky for sure!  Today I was packing him up in his carrier and he puked all down my arm - thank goodness I don't have a strong gag reflex - haha.

L = (Loves)  To sit on his belly.  I think it helps with his gas.  We prop him up on a pillow for just a few minutes, and it seems to help him settle down.  He also likes to lay on his play mat, but gets a bit overwhelmed after several minutes!

A = (About this week)  He is slowly having more active spells, and it starting to react to our voices more.

N = (Not a fan of) Being hungry.  He can go from peacefully sleeping to scream machine in 5 seconds flat :)
